Standing Committees
Arbitration
The ECA Arbitration Committee oversees all aspects of the administration of the collective bargaining agreements negotiated between ECA and Local Union #134. Wage rate allocations, grievances, negotiations, and work rule changes are under the responsibilities of the Arbitration Committee.

CEA
The Construction Employers Association (CEA) Committee represents the ECA membership in regard to this umbrella group´s activities. The CEA coordinates the Joint Conference Board (JCB) which was created to adjudicate any jurisdictional conflicts in the building industry in the Chicagoland area.

Codes and Standards
The ECA Codes and Standards Committee members monitor activity in the Chicago City Council, City Council Committee on Buildings, Chicago Department of Buildings (DOB) and the City of Chicago Department of Construction and Permits (DCAP) in regard to any proposed changes in the Chicago Electrical Code.

Communication
The ECA Communication Committee Meets to discuss issues concerning the Communications arena of the electrical contracting industry. The Committee members often discuss various issues, including the status of the National VDV Agreement, the Electric Association Technical Forum, the scope of work in the current Communication Agreement, as well as educational programming for the membership.
