The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) held its May Membership meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Truluck’s Restaurant in Rosemont, IL.  Over 50 attendees were on hand for the industry updates and special presentations.  As May is Mental Health Awareness Month, the session focused on Mental Health issues (Construction-focus).  "How to Access the Benefits of the Employee Resource Systems (ERS)" was discussed.  The ERS presentation concerned a number of topic areas:  Family & Relationships, Financial & Legal, Career & Professional, Home & Living, Health & Well-Being, Education & Learning.

The special presenters, included: 

• Kathy Horton, ERS Account Manager, discussed the benefits of the Employee Resource Systems;
  
  
• Bill Heffernan, ScreenSafe, Inc. discussed the stigma, suicide prevention and additional resources; and
  
  
• A Construction Industry Alliance Suicide Prevention update was given by Kevin O'Shea, Shamrock Electric Company, Inc.
