ECA's 51st Annual Spring Conference Recap
The conference was held at the Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI
The Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) recently celebrated its 51st Annual Spring Conference at the picturesque Abbey Resort in Fontana, Wisconsin, from June 7th - 8th, 2023. It was a fantastic time for ECA members to gather and enjoy golf, networking opportunities, observe industry updates, and learn about generational changes in the workforce.
The conference commenced on a beautiful Wednesday morning with the eagerly anticipated Abbey Springs golf event. Members were thrilled to hit the greens and showcase their golfing skills. The shotgun start at 11 am marked the beginning of a day filled with friendly competition and camaraderie among industry professionals. As the players made their way through the course, they relished the stunning views and challenges of the golf course.
Following the golf event, ECA members reconvened at the harbor patio, where a delightful reception awaited them. Against the backdrop of a spectacular sunset, attendees had the opportunity to network and discuss with fellow industry leaders. It was an excellent chance to build relationships, share experiences, and forge connections.
During the membership dinner meeting, ECA's President, Bob Fimbianti, had the pleasure of awarding Stef Lopata, Kelso-Burnett Co., ECA's 2023 Recognition of Excellence award. Additionally, the membership recognized Rick Jamerson's, Jamerson & Bauwens Electrical Contractors, Inc., efforts as ECA's president from 2019-2022.
Another conference highlight was the keynote presentation by Phil Gwoke from BridgeWorks. Gwoke, a renowned expert on generational differences, delved into the topic of effective communication and knowledge transfer across different age groups. With his engaging and thought-provoking presentation, he shed light on the diverse perspectives and approaches each generation brings. Gwoke provided practical tips and strategies to bridge the generational gap and foster better organizational communication.
We want to thank the active participation of our members in making the 51st Annual Spring Conference a success!
