NECA Midwestern Region Spring Conference Highlights

The NECA Midwestern Region Spring Conference was held June 12 – 15, 2022 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO.  Nearly 25 individuals from the Chicago & Cook County Chapter, NECA were able to participate with the Conference.  The program was highlighted by a number of premier guest presentations, including: a Keynote by Gustavo Grodnitzky, “Culture Trumps Everything;” Richard Barnes, “Can Collective Bargaining and Collective Business Development Co-exist?” and a Closing Keynote by Karl Mecklenberg, “Teamwork and Leadership in a Changing World.”

Gustavo Grodnitzky
Dr. Guztavo is a leading expert and keynote speaker in the psychology of organizational culture and its impact on people and profits.  

Richard Barnes
Richard is an internationally recognized mediator, facilitator, skills trainer and speaker.  His consulting firm, Richard Barnes & Associates, LLC, provides leadership training, dispute resolution services, facilitation, coaching and negotiation skills training to a cross-section of industry, labor, private, public and service organizations, both nationally and internationally.

Karl Mecklenburg
Karl Mecklenburg is a former Denver Broncos player, six-time Pro Bowler, and four-time First Team All-Pro.  The lessons life in the NFL taught him about teamwork, courage, dedication, desire, honesty and forgiveness, and goal setting are his keys to success.

Other Conference highlights included: the Chapter Reception / Dinner was held on property on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Donald Ross Room / Patio.  Many of the attendees participated with the Golf Outing on the Broadmoor East Course on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.  On the final Conference day, Rick Jamerson, ECA President, Jamerson & Bauwens Electrical Contractors, Inc. was presented the "Darrell Gossett Industry Service Award!"  Congratulations, Rick!  The Closing Reception / Dinner was held at the picturesque Cheyenne Lodge.  We thank all who were able to attend the Midwestern Region Spring Conference!
