Program description:

Case studies dispel common myths and pitfalls of typical field productivity approaches. Case studies illustrate effective Crew Level Production Planning techniques, including: visual batching of work, input worksheets, resource (manpower) loaded scheduling, and labor cost analysis, simple daily productivity tracking and forecasting, and effective, measurable improvement strategies.

Following this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define and measure productivity
  • Discuss case studies and real examples of planning tools designed to set targets and manage labor productivity for superior results

David Morton is a Director at Maxim Consulting Group responsible for the evaluation and implementation of process improvement with our clients. David works with construction related firms of all sizes to identify and solve complex business, leadership, and operational challenges. His areas of expertise include organizational assessments, business planning, leadership development, executive coaching, productivity improvement, training programs, entrepreneurial ventures, and business development. David’s broad range of experience across the construction, low voltage and green-tech industries provides a unique perspective into the strategic and tactical challenges that construction companies face and the breadth and depth of experience to deliver tailored solutions to drive sustained growth and profitability. Mr. Morton has nearly 30 years of experience in the construction and manufacturing industries. His experience includes C-Level leadership, operations management, leadership development, contract negotiations, project execution, financial planning, and business development. David also possesses a passion for and keen ability to plan and implement entrepreneurial ventures. While ascending through the ranks of the electrical construction industry, he successfully launched and led a low voltage/systems integration business unit and a solar division that grew to become one of the largest commercial solar contractors in the United States.
