CISCO Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony - 1/31/25

The Construction Industry Service Corporation (CISCO) held its Annual Meeting on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Harry Caray’s at the Westin in  Lombard, Illinois. CISCO celebrated its 2024 Project of the Year winners and honored Union construction with a number of special awards!

CISCO acknowledged their special Industry awardees:
Educator of the Year: Kevin Walters with Chicago Hope Academy
Public Body of the Year: City of Evanston/Mayor Daniel Biss
Construction Advocate of the Year: Bill Heffernan – ScreenSafe
Hall of Fame Inductees:  Kina McAfree, Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council Apprentice & Training Program Assistant Coordinator, and Maurice King, Local Union #134 Vice President.

CISCO also acknowledged the The Project of the Year winners, as follows:
New Construction – Chicago (Above $20M): Damen Green Line Elevated CTA Station
New Construction – Suburbs (Above $20M): Downers Grove Civic Center
New Construction – Chicago/Suburbs (Below $20M): Biorational Research Center Expansion
Infrastructure: Lakefront Bicycle Trail #3 Over the Chicago River
Rehab: RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center at Rush Lisle
Residential: Solverre
Strength Through Collaboration: HIRE360 Training & Business Development Center
