Apprentice Graduation Ceremony (Saturday, October 19, 2024)

The program was held at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH) in Alsip, IL.

The Apprentice Graduation Ceremony was held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH) in Alsip, Illinois.  The evening event was facilitated by Gene Kent, INTECH Director with a special Invocation made by former INTECH Director, the Reverend John Donahue, Ph.D., J.D.  Other industry speakers / representatives during the ceremony were Tim Fitzgibbons, Local 134 President and Bob Fimbianti, ECA President, Linear Electric, Inc.  Don Finn, Local 134 Business Manager congratulated the apprentices / new journeylevel electricians via a special congratulatory video. 

Within the Graduation Ceremony, a number of special presentations / recognitions were acknowledged, including:  “Outstanding Apprentice of the Year” Awards -  “A” Program:  Raymond B. Birkett, III, “C” Program:  Aaron L. Ruiz.  The Andrea Hall Apprentice Excellence Award went to:  Megan E. Walsh.  The Terry Allen Brotherhood Award went to Stephanie A Stachura.

We congratulate the awardees, as well as all of the apprentices / graduates.  We thank the parents and instructors for their support.  We also thank the Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Trustees (EJATT) for their time and expertise throughout the year, aiding in the curriculum development and ensuring the facility remains up-to-date.  The EJATT Trustees (Local 134) are:  Don Finn, Chairman; Tim Fitzgibbons, George Mostardini, Shirley Williams and Marco Calderon; (ECA) are:   Jim McGlynn, Sr., Vice-Chair, McWilliams Electric Company, Inc.; Bob Fimbianti, Linear Electric, Inc., Frank Gurtz, Gurtz Electric Co., Gary Misicka, Lyons Electric Company, Inc., and Scott Block, Block Electric Company, Inc. and the  EJATT Associate Trustees (Local 134) are:  Peter Thurston, Martin Urbon, Anthony Dacquisto and Jack McGrane; (ECA):  Matt Kelly, Gibson Electric An Emcor Company, Mark Thomas, Tim Taylor.
