The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Research and Education Committee is pleased to present a unique complimentary program. The "NECA Premier Partners Program" will feature four (4) seminars and a special networking session. The sessions are to be facilitated by area / national representatives of four (4) NECA Premier Partners.

You have insurance, but are you covered? Insurance is complex and can be confusing. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how they can take more control of their insurance and risk management programs, which in turn should help reduce future costs.

Presenter: Jared Henning, District Marketing Manager

Jared is the District Marketing Manager for Federated Insurance in the greater Chicago area. He is responsible for the hiring of new Marketing Reps along with training and working with his current Marketing Reps. Jared began his career in June 2020 where he went through the extensive training program that Federated places their new Marketing Reps through. He was a Marketing Representative for Federated in Grand Rapids, MN. Jared was there for a little under 3 years before taking a promotion to take on the new endeavor in Chicago.

Presenter: Kenny Keil, Marketing Representative

Kenny is a Marketing Representative for Federated Insurance, covering Southern DuPage, Northern Will, and Southern Cook Counties. Dedicated to serving the needs of his clients in the areas of business insurance, life and disability income insurance, and estate and succession planning, he is passionate about helping those in need of these services. He came to Federated after a long career with a family-owned business, bringing the small business mentality to his work.

This class will focus on helping contractors understand all the important pieces to the EVSE puzzle. It will point out key things to look for, strategies to employ, and pitfalls to avoid. The presentation will help you take first steps on getting started and preparation to build a profitable business around EV.

Presenter: Mike Shumway, Renewables Strategic Account Manager

Mike Shumway is a Renewables Strategic Account Manager for Graybar. He is driving electrification by empowering electrical contractors to succeed in the EV charging space. By leveraging his expertise from working with EVSE manufacturing and charging networks, Mike collaborates with clients to develop innovative strategies and navigate the complex challenges with EV charging infrastructure. Mike is focused on helping electrical contractors succeed in this growing market by providing them with the resources and support they need.

“Latest in the Solar Industry”

With this ever-changing industry you must stay up to date on all products available along with how to integrate the products when needed. DNS realizes to be effective and successful in driving large volumes of “profitable” projects to our contractors; we must arm contractors and ourselves with every market advantage. DNS will deliver a turnkey solution while managing as much or as little as the contractor may need. DNS will provide labor hours by tasks for the contractor that has never done a solar project or enter into a design build complex microgrid for the contractor that need that support.

Presenter:  Melinda Kershaw, Director of Marketing

Melinda Kershaw, Director of Marketing, has 35 years’ of experience in sales, marketing, and operational management. Melinda’s key focus over the past 20 years has been business development concentrating on sales and operational infrastructure for emerging technologies. This focus was directed at the Renewable Energy Sector; specifically, photovoltaics and driving IBEW/NECA member contractors to a larger market share in the Solar PV industry.  Currently, Melinda assists in building financial structures for the development and delivery of both on-grid and off-grid solar products across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Presenter:  Megan Reily, Regional Manager JSS, Milwaukee Tool

 Megan Reily is a leader within Milwaukee Tool’s Electrical Jobsite Solutions team. For 8 years, she has excelled in various positions, including account management roles and sales training. Megan currently oversees the Midwest Electrical Jobsite Solutions field sales team, where she and her team are work every day to find safer and more productive solutions for users within the electrical construction industry. Her dedication to being a solutions provider has been the key to her success, both with our partners as well as within Milwaukee Tool.
