The March of Dimes 2024 Construction & Transportation Awards Luncheon that was held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago was the 30th Anniversary of this unique event. Powering Chicago and ECA member, John Burns were among the sponsors of this special program. Congratulations to John Burns for receiving the Construction Award and congratulations to Tina Chung Hurley, Horizon Contractors, Inc. who received the Rufus Taylor Award!
The overall awardees / special recognitions for this year’s event were as follows:
Construction Award: John Burns for City of Chicago Residential Street Lighting Project;
Transportation Award: 75th Street Corridor Improvement Project;
Leadership in the Public Sector Award: Erin Aleman, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning;
Leadership in the Private Sector Award: Patrick Cermak, Wight & Company;
The Ambassador Family was the Harvey Family;
Developer Award: Zeb McLaurin, McLaurin Development Partners;
