ECA October 2019 Membership Meeting Highlights

Guest Speaker was Frank Grimaldi, Jr., Chicago Department of Aviation.

The October ECA Regular Membership Meeting was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Maggiano's Banquets in Chicago. The program featured Guest Speaker, Mr. Frank Grimaldi, Jr., Chicago Department of Aviation, Association and National NECA updates, as well as the distribution of a pink hard hat for all of the attendees recognizing Cancer Awareness Month.   

ECA President, Richard Jamerson, Jamerson & Bauwens Electrical Contractors, Inc., introduced the guests from the City of Chicago Department of Aviation:  Mr. Frank Grimaldi. Jr., Acting Chief Development Officer and his associate, Mr. David Robbins, a Project Administrator.  Mr. Grimaldi primarily discussed various aspects of the numerous projects at O’Hare Airport.  He discussed the development, design, and management of capital projects, facilities projects, tenant projects, Terminal Area Program (TAP), and the Chicago O’Hare 21 Program, a $8.5 billion investment in a five-year expansion of multiple capital projects by the airlines that will expand O’Hare’s capacity and connectivity and improve customer service at passenger terminal facilities.   He also highlighted the O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP), a $10 billion program, which started construction in 2005 and completed three new runways and the extension of a 4^th runway, and a final new runway scheduled to open in 2020.  We thank Mr. Grimaldi and Mr. Robbins for their time at the meeting.
